Ashtanga, Short Form
This is an abbreviated version of Ashtanga’s Primary Series, led, with breakdown of postures.

Offered to both beginning yoga students with some yoga experience, intermediate and experienced students. Beginning students will learn as a led method, following the count and surrendering to breath in the postures. Experienced students are welcome to practice the led method or may self practice with teacher assists at the back of the room. If you want to take your practice to the next level, or just get familiar with the roots of yoga, this is the class. Offered M & W 9:30-11:00 AM.
Led Full Primary
Ashtanga, led full primary
This is a led version of Ashtanga’s Full Primary Series.
This classic practice of postures combining breath, asana (postures) and drishti (gaze points) in specific sequences of asanas. This is a purifying and meditative practice. The purpose of the led method is to learn to surrender to your breath and the count. The led method should be practiced at least once a week and is the compliment for a regular Mysore [self] practice. This method is also a good way to get to know the sequence of the asana in the primary series.
This class can be appropriate for beginners in reasonably decent shape.
Ashtanga, Self/Independent Study
This is the independent study version of the Ashtanga Primary Series sequence.
New students will learn the sequence, with a teacher, and progress at their own pace. Teacher assists will be given as needed.
This is a foundational, purifying and meditative practice. Students of all levels practice the Ashtanga yoga sequence at their own pace. In this practice students concentrate on challenging areas, spending extra time and energy working through difficult postures. Teacher assists will be given as needed. New students will learn the sequence with a teacher and progress at their own pace. Learn the sequence as you go, working where you need to and adding more postures slowly over time.
All students with some yoga experience welcomed. The Mysore studio opens at 5:00 AM and students arrive anytime between 5:00-7:45 AM Mondays & Wednesdays, 6:15-7:45 AM Fridays.
This is all levels training. Students who already have a yoga practice will deepen their understanding with functional anatomy for learning how to surrender in the posture. Students will find the balance in their practice between effort & ease. Students who are just starting their yoga practice will learn the “How” and “Why” of the Ashtanga method. All students will increase their body awareness and be able to practice according to individual ability and flexibility. Students will learn how to modify postures, tailor their practice to energy levels/time they have for a daily practice.
Each week we will break down parts & postures from the Ashtanga Primary Yoga traditional Series: Sun Salutations A & B, standing, seated, transitions and finishing sequence. The entire method is a set sequence so you always know what comes next. This allows you to see changes in yourself because the yoga method doesn’t change, however you do.
Victoria’s passion for sharing the practice of Yoga began soon after her very first class in 2001! She felt such a strong connection to herself by exploring different styles of Yoga. Victoria loves to teach and practice Hot Yoga- Bikram style for the heat and many therapeutic benefits & Vinyasa for the organic flow and creativity. Victoria fell in love with Ashtanga Yoga for the lineage and discipline required. I see now anything is possible with regular practice. Almost immediately Victoria knew she wanted to inspire others to experience good health, inner peace, incredible strength, beauty, truth and Love! Through breath, movement, and bodily sensation Victoria believes you can move beyond ANY conditions of your own mind. Victoria is honored to share the different methods of Yoga that she has studied and practiced for the past 17 years. “If you are on a personal journey to reach your highest potential, you must be ready to begin again and again. No matter how broke or broken you feel, all is impermanent!” Yoga is a life practice for self-transformation, it only asks that you show up every day to see what is possible & look inside for your answers.
