From Root to Crown: Chakra Balancing Workshops

Join Liz Smith for this series of 90-minute workshops to explore how to use the tools of breath and yoga poses (asanas) to open, align and balance the flow of energy within the body. Chakras are wheels of energy that vibrate within each one of us. The balance of energy moving through the seven main chakras impacts our physical, emotional and spiritual health and wellness. Each workshop will focus on postures and breathing exercises (pranayamas) connected to a set of chakras.

Come activate and unblock energy within and strengthen and invigorate the body. Together, participants will work to activate healing energy, joy and harmony in our lives both on and off of the yoga mat. Students will all levels of yoga experience are welcome, though some yoga experience is beneficial, as we work together through lecture, practice, and meditation to strengthen and deepen your connection to your true self.

Your heart-center is your fourth chakra. Activate and balance this chakra as you explore backbends safely, stretch the front of your body and open yourself up to compassion and love for yourself and others.
Finding Your Voice: Moving and Breathing with Presence
Discover presence in your practice and listen to your inner voice as you explore slow movement, mindful breath and connect to your fifth chakra, your throat center.
Listening to Intuition: Living Your Truth
Balance your sixth chakra, at your third eye, as you move through a practice focused on tuning into the body and mind connection. Trust yourself and find freedom to move through poses freely and trust your instincts.
Creating Connection: Incorporating Meditation into your Practice
Connect to your seventh chakra at the crown of your head. Warm up your body through gentle movement and breath in preparation to sit in stillness and practice the art of meditation.
