Fall Equinox Mindful 108 + Nidra
Please join us and our community as we welcome the new season with a mindful practice of Yoga Mala or 108 salutations, led by Sherie Sloane, E-RYT/ YA-CEP.
Compared to the traditional 108, this is a more modified mala practice that everyone, of all levels, can do. Whether you have practiced a Yoga Mala before or this is your first time, you will be guided through the 4 Kramas or Progressions (4 rounds of 27), with the 18 modifications and variations Sherie uniquely sequenced to make the practice appropriate for all levels. Although the Yoga Mala is a physically challenging practice, the repetition is meditative in nature. Practice will be concluded with a short, restortive Yoga Nidra also known as ‘yogic sleep’, or guided meditation while laying on your mat in Savasana.
During an equinox, the day and night are equal in length. The Fall Equinox, also called the Autumnal Equinox, offers a time to go within oneself and rest and re-energize before the onset of the cooler months.
