Myofascial Release & Mobility Workshop
Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore mobility.
Myofascial release techniques (MFR) are designed to go in and smooth out those hard knots, returning the fascia to its normal fluid and adaptable self. In MFR, a gentle, sustained pressure is applied to points of restriction (those bunched up spots), allowing the connective tissue to release.
In this workshop you will perform self release techniques focusing on 14 major trigger points in your body.
You will learn how to understand where they are located and how to release them. We will use tennis balls and smaller therapy balls. We will be very active in this workshop however the goal is to relax and release tension in your body by targeting the most affected muscular areas of tension and softening the underlying fascia.
These Intro MFR techniques can be used regularly by any yoga practitioner, athlete, or person who is active and has some underlying muscular discomfort they would like to explore.
Myofascial release technique is often used as a therapy to keep the body’s fascia more supple and less rigid.
Similar to the benefits of massage this technique allows the bodies natural energy to be less restricted, leaving the body to feel more balanced, peaceful and calm .
